People and Culture Manager

We are at a hugely exciting juncture and are expanding the business rapidly.  We are now at a point in our growth when we want to bring in a proactive, dynamic and superbly organised People and Culture Manager, to help everything to run smoothly and to be the ‘glue’ in our amazing team.  This is a role that is central to fulfilling our ambitious goals.

 

The Role

  • Be the eyes, ears and soul of the team - ensure we celebrate each other’s successes and employment milestones, organise events and company meetings, produce our quarterly newsletter, and take the lead in shaping our fantastic team culture and spirit;

  • Provide an efficient day-to-day HR service, and keep on top of HR documentation and administration;

  • With the support of our external HR Consultant as necessary, ensure that we are handling any HR issues sensitively and correctly;

  • Become a champion of our CharlieHR system, and ensure we are making full use of its capabilities;

  • Manage the onboarding of new joiners;

  • Keep our performance management and pay review processes running smoothly, and help us to identify training initiatives that will help our team members to progress and grow;

  • Provide recruitment support - post job adverts, filter applications, carry out initial interviews, and set up interviews for the hiring team;

  • Manage the ordering and delivery/collection of computer equipment while we are still working remotely;

  • Manage the storage and organisation of our online files in the shared drive;

  • Provide EA support to our senior team as needed;

  • Fulfil the role of office manager when we are back in an office - project manage our transition back to office-working, and generally make sure the office is well stocked and runs smoothly.

Job requirements


To thrive in this role it is essential that you fit the following criteria:

  • Significant experience gained in an Office Manager/HR Assistant type role;

  • Digitally savvy - quick to learn new systems, highly computer literate, and confident with social media;

  • Excellent written and spoken English;

  • Meticulous organisation skills and razor-sharp attention to detail;

  • A strong work ethic and a great ability to prioritise and juggle a diverse workload;

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills;

  • A flexible and willing ‘can do, will do’ attitude;

  • You're adaptable and thrive in fast-paced environments;

  • A self-starter mentality, with the ability to identify and implement improvements to keep us running at optimal efficiency;

  • A warm, confident personality that engenders trust, enthusiasm and positivity in others.
